El Alsson British International School Accreditation

Dear Parents

The British School was inspected over three days from 27th February – 1st March 2017.  The inspection followed the British Department for Education (DFE) schedule for the inspection of British Schools overseas. Our inspection was completed by Penta International UK.  Penta International is approved by the British Government for the purpose of inspecting schools overseas.   It is one of the leading inspection providers and reports to the English Department for Education  (DFE)  on  the  extent  to which  schools  meet  the  standards  for  British  Schools Overseas.

We are happy to say that El Alsson British School met all the standards required for British Schools Overseas accreditation.  You can read the full report by click on the following link http://www.pentainternational.co.uk/bso.php

Academic year 2017-2018 Requested Deposit

Dear Parents,

We are aware that our existing parents as well as other parents in international schools in Egypt have been eager to know and settle the school fees for academic year 2017-2018. Unfortunately, international schools in Egypt have been restricted by the Ministry of Education not to announce any information till August 2017, which is very delayed and unfair to all of us. The school, among other international schools, is currently in negotiation with the Ministry within this aspect.

Usually at this time of the year we request the April installment, but due to the unusual circumstances, we are unable to do so. We are committed to providing the same level of service to all our students and parents, and in order for us to plan for academic year 2017-2018 and fulfill our commitments, you are kindly requested to pay a deposit of LE 20,000 towards next year’s tuition fees.

This deposit guarantees a place for your son/daughter next year. Please take into consideration that the requested amount is a partial payment of next year’s fees and does not reflect a percentage of the total fees.

Kindly note that, deposits will only be accepted after settling all outstanding 2016-2017 fees.

It is appreciated that the deposit is received no later than 21st of May.

Furthermore, parents that plan to use the bus service next year are kindly requested to confirm with the bus office (address, contacts….. etc) as well as settle the down payment of LE 2,000.

As there are limited availability to certain destinations we kindly request it’s done as soon as possible.

Parents who wish to withdraw their children after fees are announced, are kindly requested to notify the school in writing within the first week of the announcement date by emailing the school on registrar@alsson.com and fees@alsson.com . Upon doing so, you will receive a full refund of your deposits.

Thank you for your continuous support and patience, together we can hopefully overcome this difficult time.

Best wishes

Autism Awareness Dance 2017

As always, El Alsson has been supporting Autism Awareness ever since it was approached by the Egyptian Autistic Society years back. Every year, El Alsson creates awareness among its students all the way from Primary till Senior School. This year, other than the Whole School Dress in Blue Day on April 2nd, Primary Elementary students prepared a dance and performed it in the primary field. Special thanks go to Ms. Heba Wahdan, our sports teacher who took the initiative to teach the entire student body the dance, choreographed it and made sure they were all great at it. An amazing job from an amazing teacher. It has now become an El Alsson tradition to always dress in Blue on April 2nd and all students know why.
