Winter Drive

Dear parents,

As the temperatures start to drop and winter approaches, we wish to turn our attention to the vital members of our school community  who may lack some essentials to help them get through this season. The Winter Drive last year was a tremendous success thanks to your incredibly generous donations. The Student Council organized a market where the matrons were invited to select an item for themselves and for each of their children. It was an opportunity for the students to actively participate in community service and to show their appreciation for the essential roles the matrons play. This year we would like to open the market up to our male workers as well such as our security guards, gardeners and maintenance workers.

We invite you to donate any clothes and winter necessities such as warm boots, blankets, gloves that you no longer need. It is important that the items you donate are in good condition, no stains, rips, broken zippers, etc. It would be very helpful if the donations were categorized according to age and gender. You also have the option to donate money which will be used to purchase clothes for the market if needed or it will be saved for future charity and community service events.

On Thursday 18th November we will have a school wide dress-down day in support of this initiative. For a donation of 20LE (or more if desired) your child may come to school out of uniform. Further information about how to make these donations will be communicated to students divisionally.

We look forward to providing our students with the opportunity to give back and show compassion and appreciation for those in need.
