Dear Parents,
This is our third year with Alsson, during which we met a lot of young talents, some of which have participated in our concerts and bands.
We will resume the music lessons this year starting from September 15th, 2025.

Working Hours
Monday: 3:00 PM to 8:15 PM
Tuesday: 3:00 PM to 8:15 PM
Lessons type and duration
The 3:00 PM slot is a group lesson (groups are up to 5 students for piano, guitar, and vocals, and 3 for drums)
All other time slots are private lessons.
Working days
Throughout the school year even on school vacations.
Instruments
Although the instruments are provided during the lessons, it is highly advisable for students to have their own instruments at home to practice.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. Rescheduling can be done if requested 2 days in advance. The make up lesson in this case can be taken at Alsson or at Galleria40 depending on availability.
From classroom to music lesson
There is a Google Sheet made by Art Mania and viewed by Alsson concerned personnel to ensure that students are routed from their regular classrooms to the music lessons.

Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you of the school bus arrangements for the first days of school:
Sunday 7th and Monday 8th September:
• In the morning, buses will pick up students from the designated meeting points.
• In the afternoon, buses will drop students directly at their home addresses.
From Tuesday 9th September onwards:
• Both pick up and drop off will be directly from your child’s home address.
Please note that these arrangements apply only to students following the regular school schedule (arriving at 7:40 am and leaving at 3:00 pm).
Any students required to arrive later (at 9:00 am or 11:00 am) or leave earlier (at 12:00 pm or 2:00 pm) will not be riding buses during these first days – Please check your timings and days on the website calendar or the email that was sent to parents.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Soumaya Amr — the heart and soul behind El Alsson School. From Haraneya to NewGiza, she was the pillar upon which this great institution was built. Today, the El Alsson community mourns the loss of an icon, a guiding force, and its very essence.
Madam Soumaya was more than a School Director — she was a visionary, a role model, and a pioneer in the field of education. Her leadership paved the way for generations of educators and schools across Egypt. Her legacy is not only in the buildings or the systems she established, but in the lives she touched and the values she instilled.
She was admired and loved deeply — for her unwavering compassion, her empathy, her integrity, and her genuine care for every student, parent, and staff member who ever walked through El Alsson’s doors.
At this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences and unwavering support to everyone who knew her, worked alongside her, learned from her, and loved her. To her family — you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find strength and comfort in the love and legacy she leaves behind.
We honour her memory with profound respect and lasting gratitude.
May her soul rest in peace, and may her light continue to guide us.
ببالغ الحزن والأسى ننعى السيدة سمية عمرو — القلب النابض والركيزة الأساسية وراء مدرسة الألسن، من الحرانية إلى نيو جيزة. لقد كانت الدعامة التي بُنيت عليها هذه المؤسسة العريقة، واليوم تفقد عائلة الألسن رمزاً، ومرشدةً، وجوهر روحها.
لم تكن مدام سمية مجرد مديرة مدرسة، بل كانت رائدة ومثلًا أعلى ونموذجًا يحتذى به في مجال التعليم. لقد مهدت الطريق لأجيال من المعلمين والمدارس في مصر، وتركت بصمتها في كل جانب من جوانب التعليم الحديث. إرثها لا يقتصر على المباني أو الأنظمة، بل يعيش في القيم التي غرستها والقلوب التي أثّرت فيها.
كانت محبوبة ومحترمة من الجميع — لما أظهرته من رحمة وتعاطف ونزاهة واهتمام صادق بكل طالب وولي أمر وموظف مرّ عبر أبواب الألسن.
وفي هذا الوقت العصيب، نرسل أحر تعازينا وأصدق مشاعر الدعم لكل من عرفها أو عمل معها أو تعلّم منها أو أحبّها. ونتوجه بخالص المواساة والدعاء إلى عائلتها الكريمة — قلوبنا معكم، ونسأل الله أن يلهمكم الصبر والسلوان، وأن يحيطكم بحبها الذي لا يزول.

Following the recent announcement from the Ministry concerning the severe weather conditions expected tomorrow, please be informed that all schools, including El Alsson, will be closed.
IB students scheduled to sit for examinations tomorrow will receive separate communication from the IB Coordinator with specific details regarding exam arrangements.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Please stay safe, and rest assured we will keep you informed of any further updates.
Regrettably, the Senior Talent Show originally planned for tomorrow will also be postponed. A new date for the event will be announced soon.

We are excited to announce that the Senior Talent Show is just around the corner, and we would like to invite all students from MHS & Secondary schools (G6-G12 & Y7-Y13) to audition their talents for this year’s show. Whether it’s singing, dancing, acting, or any other special skill, this is an opportunity for students to shine and share their abilities with the school community.

We encourage all interested students to sign up for an audition, This is a wonderful chance for students to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and participate in a memorable event.
Accessing the Audition Google Classroom and Google Forms Applications
Please join the ‘Senior Talent Show – Auditions’ Google Classroom using your student school email address to access all of the upcoming communication, audition schedules and the required information including a Google Form application.
If your child would like to audition, please ensure they join both Google Classroom and complete the Sign Up Google Form by Thursday, 27th of March. Only accessing the Google Classroom is not a registration for the auditions. If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to contact us.
