Ski Trip January 2017
This year’s Ski trip was truly special. 42 students showed interest in the trip. It was a very tough and challenging experience taking so many to Crans Montana—Switzerland for this years ski trip. The trip took place from January 1st till the 8th. We were very lucky in terms of weather. At first, there was no real snow and the children had to have their first snow encounter with artificial man made snow. Still very exciting though. We all started off at the Magic Carpet where levels were then assessed and then the ski course started. The advanced group made it up the slopes day one while the rest continued to advance learning new skills and techniques in the Magic Carpet beginner’s area. Luckily, 3 days from arrival, Crans Montana witnessed their first snowfall of the season. Students did not only experience skiing on fluffy fresh snow, they also experienced the actual snowfall, and some managed to make a snowman. The ski trip was not about skiing only; every afternoon an activity was scheduled for our Alssonians; from going to the movies to watch Rogue One, to sledging, to game nights, shopping, bowling and a visit to the circus. The students had so much fun and most importantly came back in one piece, Thank God.
